The syllabus becomes broader based at this level and gradually the young learner is exposed to a wide range of subjects and study material which is suitably graded in accordance with the Uniform System of Assessment as per the new CBSE guidelines. Apart from Maths, English, Hindi, Telugu, E.V.S. and Computer Science, emphasis is laid on Visual and Performing Arts, Value Education and General Knowledge. As early as Class I, students learn to work on computers in the Multimedia Lab which has been especially equipped to meet the needs of the young learners. One Step Ahead, Always!
Delhi Public School, Nadergul has always taken an initiative to incorporate and integrate activities that would enrich the students of Junior Primary and nurture their growth into equipoised individuals. British Council ISA, is one such initiative, which saw a large community of students working together on various activities which were conducted to highlight the message of global oneness. ‘EAST OR WEST BREAKFAST IS THE BEST’ was a project taken up by class II children to emphasize the importance of the first meal of the day. During this project, children learned about the breakfast patterns of different nations.

Social activities are a part of the process through which children develop the skills, attitudes, and values necessary to acquire social and emotional competence.
Various social activities carried out by junior primary section are:
- Environmental Conservation : To Nurture students into responsible citizens of tomorrow, a plethora of value-based tasks and Environment conservation tasks are done. Community service programmes are conducted to inculcate the values of sharing and caring among the young ones.
- Care and Share Activity : This activity forms the basis of the value system of a child; the child needs to be taught to ‘reach out’ to other individuals. In this regard, special assemblies are conducted with the focus to show the importance of ‘caring’ and ‘sharing’.
